Challenge 6..we want some guest designers

Well done to all of you finalists, we should soon have a winner chosen by Letraset themselves.

We do have a bit of exciting news!...every month we look through all your blogs at all the stunning entries you all have. We thought it a good idea to offer the opportunity of a monthly guest design team place to each monthly winner running for 1 month only...a great way to showcase some of your stunning colouring!

So..this challenge is a little different from the last few!!..we want to see how creative you can be so...there's NO SKETCH to follow simply a few guidelines:

We want to see some spots and stripes on your cards..these can be the main focus of the card or a simple accent, the decision is yours.

This will be the last challenge before Christmas, we re-start again on the 13th January, our finalists from this challenge will be announced on the 12th Jan so can all entries be on here by the 11th Jan.

Of course..another fab prize of a set of Promarkers and bleed proof pad.! (colours may differ to those in the photograph)

So..to get you all started, here's all of our inspiration to share.

November Finalists

We have all enjoyed looking through this month's challenge entries..you are such a talented bunch!
We have eventually come to our finalist decision, good luck everyone!

These are our finalists and our reasons why we have chosen them.

Barbara 4 DT votes

"Barbara's colouring looks fantastic on her card and she has finished her card off beautifully with a gorgeous snowflake embellishment"

"I loved Barbara's card, you could see she had enjoyed using the sketch from the finish card which was well colour co-ordinated, using lovely little extras like the charm and the fact she had gone to the bother of photographing all the colours used on her card shows how she layered the colours up to achieve a beautifully coloured image"

"I picked this card for the beautiful colouring of the bears, such a sweet image and lovely card"

"It looks like a lot of work has gone into making this card. The colouring is very good, the snowflakes are fab, and there's plenty of sparkle. The charm is also a nice touch."

Lynn

"I like the simplicity of the colouring, the embossing on the background squares and think the added embellishments make it a really fun card"

Miijja 2 DT votes

I love the simplicity of this and yet the quite technical way it has been coloured- beautiful."

"I love the colour combination and the rose backing paper, the touches of pink look beautiful. Edwin is coloured and shaded in well too"

" I like this card beacause of the little splashes of colour mixed with the various shades of grey. I think using predominantly grey is one of the hardest types of cards to pull off but this is beautiful"

Katie
" I have chosen this card for the lovely soft colour scheme and the great use of the pens. By using them to colour the image ribbon and backing paper"

Mervi x2 DT Votes

" The subject is so pretty-an old fashioned angel-very beautiful"

Pikkujuttuja
" I like it because of the texture and colour on the white backing paper, it really stands out"

Pinky

" I really like Pinky's card as her colouring and her collage bacground is a really great idea"

I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge 3

Hi everyone, today brings a brand new challenge to get your teeth into but first................

here is the winning challenge entry from last month, well done Kerttu!, it was a beautiful card and here is what Letraset had to say about it.

"This card was beautifully coloured. A lot of thought has gone into the use of colour in this card, we love the use of contrasting colours in the details to make the main image ‘pop’ from the busy background paper, yet sit comfortably in the overall design by choosing similar tones to blend in the large areas.

The more unusual elements incorporated into the design made this card stand out for us. Details such as the ribbon cutting into the front image and contrasts of the contemporary, clean image and ribbon against a more rustic string, and the textured/aged background design against the high modern font design made this card interesting and exciting. Well Done."

If you would like to email me you address here I will forward your prize onto you.

Onto this month's prize, another lovely collection of ProMarkers and pad, colours include:
Cocoa, Apricot, Orange, Gold & Satin and all which have been used by the DT in their challenge cards.
A big welcome to our newest members, Lisa and Anelma, lots of inspiration this month to keep you all busy!

All entries need to be in for Monday 5th October, finalists will be announced Tuesday 6th and announced along with a new challenge on the 7th.
Until then, let your creativity loose and direct us to your blogs.

Good Luck!!
